Streaming Football using Sopcast and Wiziwig.tv
Streaming football using sopcast and wiziwig is the easiest way to follow Premier League football. Sopcast is the peer to peer software used to get the TV pictures/streams onto your computer and Wiziwig.tv is the site used to find the links to the streams for the match.
There are a number of different ways of watching live football streaming online but we are going to concentrate on one of the best and easiest ways to do it. There are a number of sites offering flash based streams but often they are full of obtrusive adverts.
First thing to do if you haven’t already got sopcast installed is to follow our guide here and get it installed on your PC. This is peer to peer software and it is used to ensure the stream is shared between a large amount of viewers without any problems.
If you already have sopcast installed you then need to find a stream. There is a list of channels already in sopcast but it is difficult to know what is on them and often it is better to track down the channel link elsewhere.
This is where the wiziwig.tv site comes into play. The site has only recently been launched and and is very similar to one of the best collection of streaming links sites, myp2p.eu, that closed at the start of the season.
When on the wiziwig.tv site click on the Live Sports link at the top and a list of all sports on today will be displayed. A quick look at the site now listsing, Premier League football, Serie A, Dutch Eredivisie, Romanian football, horse racing and NFL football. Track down the event you are interested in watching and click on the LIVE link to the right.
You will then be presented with a range of streams where you can watch the match. The things to look out for are the language of the stream, the bit rate and the signal quality. For bit rate and signal quality the higher the better. Once you identify a decent looking Sopcast link click on the play now button.
This will go off and start up Sopcast and start to stream the football. It will take a couple of minutes to get going as it needs to connect to all the other people streaming the match. Don’t worry if the picture is a little choppy initially as this will improve.
That is all that is required! Sit back and watch the match. Some streams can be a little rubbish so you may end up having to go through a couple of streams to find a good one.
